Our Story

Plastic to Purpose is a community-based social enterprise in Mpanshya, Rufunsa District, Zambia, founded in 2025 to promote a circular economy through sustainable waste management and climate action. It collects plastic and organic waste and transforms them into construction materials, biogas, and biofertilizer. The initiative emphasizes community engagement and behavior change, treating waste as a valuable resource, while creating green jobs, protecting the environment, and supporting Zambia’s sustainable development through a scalable circular economy model.
